Day 8, Wednesday saw us docked in a
timber storage wharf. After breakfast we caught the free shuttle bus into Picton
i-site. There were many volunteers there to assist passengers which
was lovely to see. The i-site had fast free wi-fi, so we did our
emails and social media thing before walking along the waterfront
park and up around the block to look at the shops. 
Picton is not very
big and is the starting point for visiting the many wineries in the
area. There are many shops and cafes and restaurants that cater to
the cruise ships, some with free wifi. We went to the markets which
were the best we have seen this trip. Most of the stalls had quality
hand made goods at very reasonable prices. In the water were many
large sting rays and yet people were swimming. We went back to the
i-site before getting the shuttle to pick up some brochures on the
other places we are visiting.
