Quantum of the Seas - 2022/23 Season

We had a great time on Quantum. We did two cruises in November, back to back, a total of 15 days.  We  did another two in January and February. We have another one booked on Quantum for the 23/24 season.

The ship is BIG. We have sailed on Ovation - prior to the 'pause' - and loved it. Quantum was delivered in October 2014 and was the third largest ship at the time - behind Oasis of the Seas (2009) and Allure of the Seas (2010). Quantum is Sister ships are Anthem of the Seas (2015) and Ovation of the Seas (2016). All three ships are classed as Quantum Ships, and are listed as 24th in the world's largest ships. Because it is so large, many ports of call are tender ports and it takes forever to get off the ship. Lucky we have been to most ports and enjoy being on the ship.

We sail on all cruise lines, it all depends on the price, and have enjoyed every cruise we have been on so far. However, Royal Caribbean ships are one of the best we like to sail on (we love Celebrity).

Food is good and there is a lot of variety in both venues and variety of food. We went to the Windjammer buffet for breakfast and lunch, and always got a seat down the back of the 'Jammer'.

Most nights there is a theme for dinner.

...... And Royal have the best desserts.
The Windjammer and the Promenade Cafe have drink stations that are available most times, and a large variety of teas. Sometimes there are hot chocolate packets as well.

Most evenings we prefer the main dining room. These two voyages we were in Chic Restaurant, a table by the window. The menu changed each night, with some 'classic' dishes remaining on every menu. Royal Caribbean have released new menus this year (2023), so it will be interesting to see what they are like.

The food in the main dining room was really good.

One can order as many of each course as one can eat. Peter often had two prawn cocktails for starters. One night he had three starters - he added an escargot.
The ship doesn't have a Starbucks, but does sell Starbucks products. I enjoyed many chocolate frappes and hot chocolates from La Patisserie on deck 4.
Peter had his daily latte, he says its not bad.
There are a few specialty restaurants on board. We want to try Wonderland, and Jamie's Italian - maybe next time.
So many places to sit or sit and drink.

Entertainment is good and the production shows are spectacular.

Jonnie loved the laser tag, the iFly, and the dodgems.

A must see is Starwater in Two70. We have seen it 4 times now.

The ship itself has many art installations. One can walk around a corner and see something interesting.
