The ship is BIG. We have sailed on Ovation - prior to the 'pause' - and loved it. Quantum was delivered in October 2014 and was the third largest ship at the time - behind Oasis of the Seas (2009) and Allure of the Seas (2010). Quantum is Sister ships are Anthem of the Seas (2015) and Ovation of the Seas (2016). All three ships are classed as Quantum Ships, and are listed as 24th in the world's largest ships. Because it is so large, many ports of call are tender ports and it takes forever to get off the ship. Lucky we have been to most ports and enjoy being on the ship.
Food is good and there is a lot of variety in both venues and variety of food. We went to the Windjammer buffet for breakfast and lunch, and always got a seat down the back of the 'Jammer'.
Most nights there is a theme for dinner.
Most evenings we prefer the main dining room. These two voyages we were in Chic Restaurant, a table by the window. The menu changed each night, with some 'classic' dishes remaining on every menu. Royal Caribbean have released new menus this year (2023), so it will be interesting to see what they are like.
Entertainment is good and the production shows are spectacular.
Jonnie loved the laser tag, the iFly, and the dodgems.
A must see is Starwater in Two70. We have seen it 4 times now.
The ship itself has many art installations. One can walk around a corner and see something interesting.
