Day 5 Canadian Rockies to Calgary

Day 5, saw us taking the long way out of Banff and heading for Calgary.

The scenery, once we were on the highway, changed dramatically from snow capped mountains to farming plains.

We spent the last three nights of our Canadian road trip at Hampton Inn near Calgary airport. The hotel, like all Hampton Inn's was great.
It was across the road from the Coca-Cola factory.
We booked a room with a kitchen, and it was better than we expected.
The room, or rooms, consisted of a large living, kitchen, dining area. The lounge was Jon's pull out bed.
The main bedroom consisted of a king bed and another TV.
The beds at Hampton Inn are so comfortable.
 The kitchen / dining area.
Sunset from our room.
The hotel had an inside swimming pool, which we enjoyed while waiting for the washing to wash.
Happy Canada Day!!
 Breakfast each day was good.
Outside each morning were these little creatures, dozens of them.
Not quite sure what they are.
We spent one day exploring Calgary, and another visiting Vulcan about one and half hours south.
The ideal is to feel at home anywhere, everywhere.
