Yamba NSW - Yamba Waters Caravan Park

When ever we go to Yamba, we have stayed at Blue Dolphin Caravan Park. It is lovely and right on the river BUT .... it is getting way too expensive. We stayed there last April and had a powered site (no slab - behind the cabins - with many noisy tents around us) and it was the most expensive park on our whole 6 week trip, and that includes en-suite sites! When we inquired back in May for these holidays we were quoted $114 a night for en-suite. We can stay at the Gold Coast in an apartment for $99.

Anyway, we phoned on the off chance that we could get a site at Yamba Waters - and we did, for five nights.

We have an en-suite which was really spacious, as is the site. We have plenty of room around the van, on the sides and at the back. There is also room for the car at the front.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The park has two pools and a playground and included a life size chess set. Jonnie and Peter played and Jonnie won.

We went to the Bowls Club one night - caught the courtesy bus, and even got to see a show for free - Dirty Deeds ACDC tribute band.

We also went to the Museum which is worth a visit.

There are two historic walks one can do. We did the drive LOL.

The walk around the beach and headland is spectacular.
Peter went in the kayak a couple of times and I did some patchwork.

We feasted on prawns.

One thing with 'glamping' we do eat well.

We will stay here again.
